In a recent interview David mentions fellow American Idols Jordin Sparks and David Cook, saying how much he looks up to and relates to Jordin and how he found a friend in Cook.

" I really look up to her," he says in an interview with PopEater.com. "I think her journey's been the most similar to mine. She's an amazing singer, and her style ... she understood that she was young and didn't have to run with a certain type of music so quickly. She allowed herself to have some space, some growing. That's really cool of her. "

David Archuleta recently signed with Azoff management instead of being managed full-time by his father, Jeff.

" David Archuleta is confirmed to sign a contract with Azoff Management, the same powerhouse team who helped Eagles, Christina Aguilara, Neil Diamond, and, most recently, Morrissey boosting their music careers. Meanwhile, his previously manager, who is also his father named Jeff Archuleta, will still co-assist him together with Azoff's Jared Paul. "

So, I just spent the past half hour writing a 5 paragraph post about what you can expect coming up on David Archuleta Fever. Then I accidently hit a button and deleated it all and I really don't feel like re-writing it right now...

Hey everyone,

 

I'm just checking in from the studio but if you're wondering if I've been able to do anything else this last week besides working on the album, I was able to go to the Journey with Heart and Cheap Trick concert last night!! Woo Hoo! haha. The sad thing was I missed Cheap Trick and part of Heart because I was recording :(, but at least I was doing something productive and important haha. So I'm bummed I couldn't see the first part of the show, but Heart was amazing as always.  Journey was incredible too!! I was able to go backstage and meet them during the intermission after Heart's set, and I have to admit I was nervous because I felt like I was just bugging them and invading their space haha.  But they were waaay nice.  They have the new singer Arnel Pineda, and I can't believe how amazing he can sing.  He's Filipino, and blew me out of the water!  Another sad part is I didn't bring my camera since I was thinking about recording before haha, but I tried getting pictures of them performing on my iPhone.  I'm a terrible photographer but oh well.  I actually have some really random pictures on my iphone from tour, but I think it'd be fun to post them anyway just so you can see what I tried to take pictures of wandering...

A maze in David's homestate of Utah was recently finished and now has a larger than life portrait of him in the middle it.

"MJ found this. I also heard about this on the radio. A corn maze in the image of David Archuleta in Utah not far from Brigham Young University! Not even Clay Aiken fans were able to conjure this up!"  Click here for the rest of the article.
