Numero Quatro!!
Hello all! I just wanted to let you know how my week has gone and about the things I've gotten to do.
First off, I'd like to welcome Jordan Pruitt to the tour! I talked to her and she's a really nice girl. She's really talented too. So even though I miss KSM :(. I'm looking forward to having Jordan with us now! So I hope you guys enjoy her set. And also, I just wanted to say welcome to Jordan!
All right, so the shows that we've had since my last update have been in Kansas City, Chicago, and Cincinnati. They've all been awesome! Today we're in Cleveland. Something exciting about this week is we had Kendra's family around! We had 2 days off while they were here, so we decided to take the time and visit some historical church sites that were in the areas of Independence, Liberty, and Far West Missouri. They were all in the Kansas City area. It's really interesting learning about the history and challenges people had to face back then, and admirable to see the courage they had when they faced them. On our other day off, we were going to Chicago but took a detour to a little historical town called Nauvoo. I loved it! All the people there were just really nice, and they had a pageant (which is another way of saying a play I guess haha) which was really neat. If you ever happen to be in the area for some reason lol, I really recommend you check it out. But it was fun spending time with Kendra's family and going to see the sites!
After Nauvoo, Kendra's family left, but we actually had another day off yesterday and went to another little historical town called Kirtland here in Ohio. Had another great day there! haha. I've heard a lot about these places since they have a lot of history with my church and beliefs, and I honestly was never that interested in going to visit them before. I just thought ok... I know a lot of stuff happened there but it's old. But this year we decided to go since they just so happened to all be near cities we had days off in. Isn't that ironic? lol. But wow.... I had such an awesome time. I just gained a totally new perspective of what people really had to go through in their lives so I could have what I have in my life today. It's good to learn about our history, and see what has helped get us where we are and make us who we are today. I just have to say thanks to them for everything. You can always read stuff and say yeah ok sure I know about it already. But there's a big difference in actually being there where it happened and feel the atmosphere of it all. You also learn in a way you could never learn by just reading. I know I don't usually mention that kind of stuff... but it's what I did this week, and I can't help but show how much I appreciate and respect what they've done. You'd really have to go to the places to understand, and see what they were like. But anyway, this has just been a really great week :).
Ok, tomorrow is a solo show in Pittsburgh! I haven't done a headlining show since the first show in Del Mar, but yeah I'm on tour with Demi now so that's the reason why haha. But it should be fun! The scary thing is since we've been on tour, we haven't had a whole lot of rehearsal time - Even though we did get to go through the longer set with the newer band members in Del Mar. But I'm excited! Pittsburgh is a great city. I remember when Jason Castro and I hung out during our day off there. I made a video blog that night about it too haha. Hold on let me see if I can find it...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnxD4zi-_7o
I haven't seen it since the day I uploaded it, and I don't plan on watching it now either lol. But wow that was just about a year ago! Crazy how much can happen in a year. But anyway there it is if you wanted to see what I did on my last day off hanging out in PIttsburgh. So it should be fun! Let me know if you're coming to the show or any of the other solo shows! But hey I think I have to go to soundcheck now... So I'll talk to you guys later!
Song for the day: Blow Away - A Fine Frenzy Kinda random I know but it's always in my head haha. Needed to get it out.

Hey all! We have a SUPER emergency to take care of! David is falling behind in the Teen Choice Awards! We cannot let this happen to him! Come on Archies and Arch Angels, we need to get David back on top! Head on over to http://www.teenchoiceawards.com/ to show some love for our David! We have to make him win! So get your friends on all other David and non-David websites to vote for him! TCA airs Aug 10. So we don't have too much time left. Every fan needs to vote every day.
Engage your friends and your family to vote. Use twitter, myspace, facebook to get a message across.
One vote doesnt cut it anymore as the competition is tough. And aren't we the most fanatic fans? Is that yes? Then VOTE!! Why its important that David wins?
He will sell better.
He will gain new fans.
He will be considered for other awards as his win will give him more credibility.
The most important David will be sooo happy and his happy rambling and smily beaming face is all worth it!Before you log out on each vote, go to suggestions and write in to have David perform at the TCA's. That would be great for him to do. Also, use multiple legitimate e-mails and vote on all of them and suggest to have David perform on all of them. Even though David is in concert the day of TCA, don't dispair. I think they are recording the show. So they might record David in advance..not sure how it works. If you know please educate me... Rumors abound! TCA voting is fast furious, and for humble David to slay the mighty JoBros giants, we must vote, vote, vote.Yes, you can vote with more than one email account. All email accounts must be legitimate.

LOL this is the 3rd time he's chosen the title "Today's Blog!" for his Blog...haha
All right everyone, you can probably guess what I'm going to talk about in this blog. The magical 3! Yes, there are 3 amazingly talented girls with albums now out, and you should show some love! The first one is Jordin Sparks who is my Jive label big sister. Her new album is called Battlefield, and a song I'd recommend for you to listen to is Walking On Snow. 2nd is Demi Lovato, who I am out on tour with right now. Her album's called Here We Go Again, and a song off of her album that I think you should listen to is Every Time You Lie :). The 3rd muchacha is Brooke White with High Hopes & Heartbreak, and if you haven't heard hers yet you ought to treat your ears to Be Careful. So anyway, there are my suggestions for the 3 this week.
Friday we had the LA show at the Nokia Theater! It was a grand time! I had some of my good friends come to the show. Brooke White and her husband, Jason Castro and his family, Benton Paul, and one of my friends from Utah were all there! After the show we all went out to eat and chatted, and it was good. Thank you to all of you for coming! It was such a fun show! I seriously have been loving tour. I love going to all the different cities, and seeing all of the different crowds of people at every show. I love it when my friends or family come to a show too! It makes me want to do even better. It's fun meeting new people at every city too. It like gives me a connection to the city. Ok well if that isn't cheesy enough I'll take it one step further. Aren't bunnies wonderful?? But as wonderful as bunnies are my heart belongs to Totoro. Just kidding. Idk why I'm in a weird mood today. Maybe it's because my band is talking about Metallica and stuff right now. I'm trying to balance it out. Ok I'm done on this ramble.
Sunday was a day off! Not to mention in Utah!! Well when I say day off I mean no show, because I recorded all day haha. But it was Christmas stuff! Starting the Christmas spirit early for myself this year. After recording all day, I got to spend time with my mom and sisters! We went over to one of my friends' houses to say bye to my friend who is from Denmark. He was an exchange student last year, and he came back for a few weeks to visit. He was leaving Monday though, so Sunday was my only chance to see him since I was leaving that night. I love it when I unite my friends and family :). My mom thought I was kidding when I said I wanted them all to come hang out with my friends lol. But I think it's great having my favorite little bunch of people (my family) come together with another group of people whom I enjoy being around. I want my friends to know how cool my family is, or at least how cool I think my family is lol. Everyone had a good time too. But yeah, it was fun just spending time with everyone. It's something that's so simple, yet so valuable to me.
So when I was hanging out with my Danish friend, he said that there was a Music channel in Denmark that dedicated a week to me and played Crush everyday or something! I was thinking what?? I didn't even know they really knew who I was there! I think it's so cool! Especially since I have Danish blood in me. It's been on my mind ever since I was with my aunt in Dallas and we talked about my ancestors and had ebleskiver lol. But man I just can't get over it! He said that the next time I go to Europe he'll come to a show and meet me wherever I am, so I think that'd be awesome. Ever since then I've been wondering about all the other international fans! I want to just go everywhere! It's so crazy to see different messages from people living all over the world. I can't wait until I go outside of the U.S. again! It's amazing to see that there are fans in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and even the Middle East and Canada! I haven't even been to a lot of those places (yet? lol) so thanks to all of you guys! I hope I can make it up to you all someday and see all of you international fans! And also go back to see the fans in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and the UK haha.
Well before I end this, I just wanted to let you guys know that tomorrow's show is sadly our last show with KSM :(. I'm really gonna miss those girls! They've been fun to just talk to and hang out with. Thanks KSM for coming on tour! And best of luck to you! Jordan Pruitt will be coming on the rest of the tour with us, so that should be good. But remember to show some love to KSM! And also to Jordan when she comes. KSM's last show is actually in Kansas City, where David Cook is from! So we're in the land of Cook again haha. Have any of you gone to his shows yet? I want to try and catch one. But yeah ok I am done now. So I will talk to you guys later! You can always follow me on twitter if you want to more... updated...updates....? Ok bye.
Song for the day: When Love Takes Over - David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland
I just love Kelly Rowland lol. This might sort of surprise you guys (but maybe it won't) but there was a time in my life that I went through a major dance/electronic music phase, including some David Guetta stuff. I'm actually getting into electronic sounding stuff again (Owl City for example..) But anyway, what's interesting is that that phase was during the same time that Stole by Kelly Rowland was one of my new favorite songs, so the combination in this song really surprised me (in a good way.) So it's the song for the day. P.S. Sorry if this confused you.

New Blog!
Hellooooo!
I wanted to drop a quick line or two... or more.. haha. I'm in Sacramento right now, where I had my very first Jingle show during the holiday season last December. It was a lot of fun. At that specific show we had Katy Perry, Jesse McCartney, Boys Like Girls, and my good friend Shontelle!!! First time meeting all of them. We also didn't have a show yesterday, so I just had some interview stuff and did things for the Rising Star Outreach foundation. I then went to see Harry Potter 6! It was a really good movie!
This last week was our San Jose show too, and my family came! I got to hang with them that night, and it was nice spending quality time with them, even though it was just for the night. The next day I had to fly out to Utah to do some recording, which is kind of funny since I was flying away from my family to go work in Utah haha. But it was great getting to record more Christmas music! After that I went to LA the next day to record some more Christmas songs. I am working with Eman on a bunch of these Christmas songs so it's good working him again. Maybe we can get some pop stuff going after all this Christmas stuff too haha.
Tomorrow is the LA show, and I'm always nervous for anything in LA lol. It always seems like there's more pressure, but I'm really excited for it! It should be fun with everyone coming. I have some friends coming too so I'm looking forward to seeing them! Some familiar faces.
I'd also like to mention that Brooke White's new album has come out on iTunes! It's so good!! So happy for Brooke :). It has that good old-fashioned raw sound to it, and it's just refreshing to hear. I'm pretty sure the official release of her album is the 21st, but has been released on iTunes. Another good album that has come out is Owl City! I went to their concert a while ago and they have some really good stuff. So you should check both of those albums out.
So sorry this is a sloppy blog lol. I felt like it was organized in my mind, and there was something else I wanted to say but I forgot. But I guess it's good that my mind has finally stopped going on and on and on about nothing. But hey I need to head to soundcheck now! I'll talk to you all later!
P.S. it's Tom Fletcher from Mcfly's birthday tomorrow, so wish him a happy birthday!
P.P.S. A lot of you aren't familiar with Totoro. He's an anime cartoon character thing from a movie I loved when I was a kid haha. I really don't know how to explain him. I'm sure he's on google though. It's from the movie My Neighbor Totoro.

Same name...different blog!
Howdy all!
So I was planning on doing a video blog for this week, but I haven't been feeling too well at all for the last couple of days. So I while I was planning on the video blog, I wasn't planning on getting sick lol. So I'll just have to figure out when the next time for a video blog will work. I'm already feeling a whole lot better than yesterday though! We had our drive from Oklahoma to Arizona that day. I spent 24 hours on our bus, because even though we finally got to the hotel I was feeling too sick to move lol. But things are well! I've been sleeping, resting, sleeping and resting like crazy. Thanks for all of your concerns and thoughts! I've really appreciated it. I'm hoping to be in good shape for all of you coming to the Arizona show tomorrow!
While I slept for most of the day yesterday, I did plop myself in the back lounge of the bus to watch the Michael Jackson Memorial. I was really touched by all the performances and the things that were said by his friends that spoke. It was a really emotional memorial. It really got me when his daughter spoke at the end, and my thoughts and prayers go out to them! I hope we can all keep them in our prayers, and give them the space and respect they deserve and need right now. Their dad went through a lot, but he did his best to keep his kids away from all that craziness because he cared about them and knew what it did to people. But despite all the things that Michael dealt with and everyone looking down on him, now that he's gone it's amazing to see how everyone has remembered all the things he's done in his life that have influenced so many people. The way he's reached out to sooo many that were in need and in poverty, and then in the way he touched people with his music. All I can say is thanks to him, not only for how inspiring he was to me basically throughout my entire life lol, but for his contributions to music and to the world.
All right, this last weekend was 4th of July weekend! The birthday of the U.S.A.! We were in Texas for the weekend, and we got the day off for the 4th in Dallas! I have an aunt who lives in Dallas, so I got to spend the day with her. We ate Thai food for lunch (hahaha) and went to see the movie Ice Age 3D. After that, we watched fireworks. I remember where I was last year for the 4th of July. We were in Las Vegas during the Idol tour, and I watched the Mandalay Bay fireworks from the hotel room. It was really cool because you could see the fireworks from above. My aunt also made me a traditional dish that I haven't had for a long time called.. Ebleskiver? I'm not sure how to spell it but that's how it sounds haha. It's a Danish thing since my great-grandma on that side of the family was fully Danish, so just keepin' the tradition alive! They're really good too! Have any of you ever had them? Let me know if you have, because not very many people that I know know about them.
Well that's all really for today! If you have any really interesting stories that happened this 4th of July weekend it'd be fun for you to share them! Until next time. Ciao
Song for the day: Man in the Mirror - Michael Jackson
I know this song has been everywhere lately, but thank goodness it is! It is one of the greatest songs, with the most amazing message of starting with the person in the mirror. So take it to heart: If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change!
another song for the day: Independence Day - Martina McBride
I Know it's a little behind lol, but it's to keep the 4th of July spirit!
